Radiant Paints RP Liquid Bond (RP-BL846) sets the industry standard with its advanced nanotechnology and water-based formulation. This ultra-concentrated and SABS Standard tested industrial bonding agent penetrates deep into porous substrates—including concrete floors, plastered walls, gypsum surfaces, and masonry—to seal chalked or crumbling structures. Its alkali-resistant properties create an impermeable barrier that waterproofs surfaces and fortifies substrates against wear, ensuring flawless adhesion for all topcoats. Ideal for both new construction and renovation projects, RP Liquid Bond transforms unstable surfaces into resilient and strengthened substrates.
RP Liquid Bond is provided as a milky colored liquid. When cured it forms a transparent, highly flexible and waterproofed film.
RP Liquid Bond is ready to use and can be applied by airless sprayer, brush or roller (no thinning required).
Application Expertise:
Surface Prep: Clean substrates thoroughly (<10% moisture). Remove contaminants with sugar soap or RP-Mold Buster for mold.
Use Undiluted: Apply full-strength to concrete, gypsum, or tile. Never dilute as it compromises polymer integrity, binding and waterproofing qualities.
Critical Protocols:
Avoid rain (48-hour window), temperatures <10°C or >35°C, or humidity >10%.
Winter restriction: Apply only between 9 AM–4 PM.
Crack Repair: Fill with mastic sealer, then reinforce using Radiant’s specialized crack solutions (RP Crete System).
Exclusions: Unsuitable for metal, PVC, glass, or polycarbonate.
While other products focus on basic types and variants of bonding agents, Radiant Paints have developed RP Liquid Bond to be specific for waterproofing and roof repair work.
Here are some key features Radiant Paint's RP Liquid Bond dominates with:
NanoTech Depth: Outperforms conventional water based keying agents in penetration and substrate reinforcement.
Unrivaled Coverage: 8–10 m²/L reducing project costs.
Versatility: Bonds fiber cement, friable plaster, and tiled roofs—unlike similar limited substrate range products on the market.
Eco-Advantage: Zero flammability and low-VOC, exceeding SAPMA standards.
Radiant Paints recommends the following safety and eco-compliance when applying RP Liquid Bond:
Mandatory PPE: Nitrile gloves, respirators, and eye shields (SAPMA 3-H-E rating).
Environmental Guard: Harmful to aquatic life (H402) when un-cured; prevent runoff into waterways. Dispose via chemical flocculation.
Emergency Care: Flush skin/eyes with water; seek medical aid if ingested.
Radiant Paint's RP Liquid Bond comes packed in 5L and 20L containers (12-month unopened shelf life).
It is ideal to clean all equipment such as airless sprayers, brushes, and rollers, as well as areas where spills occurred with running water while the product has not cured. When cured, the product is very hard to clean and can only be removed from surfaces using a combination of scrubbing and lacquer thinners. Always use the correct PPE and safety precautions and measures when conducting a cleaning exercise.
